Observation and Reflection from a Typhoon

We can feel those people who are selfish or kind-hearted easily around us. Why do people become so greedy? And why do lots of people are kind-hearted? These are two difficult and important issues to talk about, and we should discuss these two types of character together.

 

If you have good sense of observation, when you are enter a shopping mall or a building after people, some people are willing to hold the door open until you are enter entirely. From this, it can be seen those people who do this are kind-hearted. On the other hand, people who do not, they are greedy. You can see, this is just a piece of cake, are they really busy to do? We can feel the different characters of different people by trifles.

 

At school, it’s uncomfortable when you deal with a greedy person. Also, it’s impenetrable. It’s bad for teamwork. They are in a group but selfish, so the others will far from them.

 

So become a kind person!

 

Cooking, Food and love

      Since I was six years old, I knew how to cook and I like cooking. I started by cooking noodles. I still remembered that I cooked breakfast for Miffy almost
everyday when I was six and seven.

      I always hid myself from the kitchen's door when my mummy was cooking, because she didn't let me go inside. I was very confused, but now I understand the reasons.

      Mummy always tell me my childhood stories. Oneof that was everyday before starting meal, I have already sat in front of the table and ready to eat. I couldn't wait because the cooking skills of my mum and dad are both very good. My mum good at cooking soy sauce chicken. She didn't cook it now because she like cooking coke chicken now.

      Dad and mum were in love and they then carried on a food business together. Mum said that when she see someone who was happy when eating the meal she cook, she was happy too.

My Learning Experience - Joy and Challenges

      At the last year of secondary school, I am quite worrier about my study than before. My world has changed after I chose Visual art and Tourism as my minor. Why? The change is that my ways of career become more and more bright. The system of today is good for us students, which helps us to found our inclinations and strengths.

 

      I am very happy at school not because of the assignments but the activities; one of the activities I’ve taken part in was jewelry and jade club. I became a MC in the second year. And I am a chairperson this year. I’ve learned lots of skills on organization, speech, solution the difficulties. Moreover, I became a detail oriented person and I’ve improved my sense of responsibility.

 

      I hate homework and the dictation on dialogues, and I think an easygoing teacher who allowed extra time for assignments. I was appreciated those teacher whose always revise the deadlines.

 

      I want to be a designer. I think art is all around the world, and I want to develop it by drawing, taking photos, and designing products such as bags and clothes. I’ve designed a lot of bags in these three years.

 

      Mr. Pablo Picasso said that every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.

My First Encounter with African Culture - Music and Dance

We all S. 5 students started playing the African Drums in a sunny afternoon. This was an OLE(Other Learning Experience) programme. I love it so much! It was so exciting cos It was the first time I played it.

      The weather was so hot as my passion of playing the African Drums. The drums were delivered to us by the teachers. Also some of us got the sand hammer for beating. Everyone seemed to be excited.

      I can’t wait to play the drum! Finally, I got a drum. I hit on it and the others also did this. OMG! We hit on it all the time. The drums and the sand hammer, also the melody sang by the African teacher mixed together. Our school playground became a concert hall.

  
       The funniest part of today’s programme is the teacher of our school danced. LOL it’s unbelievable that Mr. Tsang danced like that... a monkey! LOL and Mr. Wu danced too. He just likes a panda dancing with sand hammer. LMAO. Some of the teachers were hiding behind the door to escape the invitation. I was invited by the African teach to dance! It’s amazing. I can’t believe that what I’ve done on that day. I followed my classmates and dance following the beat.

     
      How special that play African Drums at school with so many schoolmates. It’s an unforgettable experience for me.
     
      I went to buy an African Drums whit my friend Miffy, and played it at her home with her little sister. The drum was so expensive, it cost me $400, but I like it whatever how much it was.

     
      I surffed in the internet and found more information about how to play the African Drums well. There are some tips and common mistake during play the African Drums. The fingers should curl naturally and only the tips of the fingers should hit the drum. Your fingers should naturally bounce of the skin and we help them along by slightly lifting our hand from the drum immediately after they hit the skin. If you got sore thumbs - You may be play too far to the centre of the drum.

      The next day went I back to school. I heard that some of my classmates were still singing the song we sang on that day...
